In this paper a promising antenna solution for a cochlear implant is presented. Proposed solution is based on folded loop antenna. The antenna and proper matching circuit is leading to increase the antenna operational bandwidth as well as radiation efficiency. The loop antennas and proper matching circuit are co-integrated with a magnet and a coupling loop for wireless powering sealed in a silicone protective shell were prototyped and characterised. Proposed antenna solution demonstrated better performance in comparison with a circular loop.en_US
