dc.description.abstractWe experimentally measure the pressure broadening coefficient of absorption linewidth in the 85Rb 52S1/2-62P3/2 transition (420 nm wavelength) due to collisions with N2 buffer gas. In addition, we measure the saturation intensities of this atomic transition without buffer gas and related with it hyperfine ground state relaxation time. We also calculated the hyperfine ground state relaxation times and saturation intensities in the presence of N2 buffer gas.
