dc.description.abstractThe new geometric possibilities offered by Additive Manufacturing (AM) combined with a complete redesign of compliant mechanisms have allowed CSEM to develop innovative concepts (patent pending) to drastically reduce the need of machining and assembly after additive manufacturing. Support structures under flexure blades are thus minimised and the overall process becomes more streamlined. Moreover, this idea allows us to easily design and produce monolithic cross blade flexure pivots with interlocked flexible blades.
