Abstract
Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming a key enabler for extracting meaningful biological insight from complex, high-dimensional molecular data. This keynote presentation discusses the role of AI as a translational tool to decode molecular signatures across multiple biological scales, from omics profiles to cellular phenotypes. Emphasis is placed on precision medicine applications that require the integration of heterogeneous data types, including molecular, phenotypic, and clinical information. Using examples from immune aging, pharmacoscopy, and phenomics, the talk illustrates how representation learning and biologically informed AI architectures can uncover robust biomarkers and mechanistic patterns that are inaccessible to traditional analytical approaches. Beyond technological advances, the presentation highlights the societal and economic impact of AI-driven life science innovation, stressing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration between academia, industry, and innovation centers to translate AI solutions into real-world healthcare impact.
