A disposable and sustainable smart test strip for body fluids

Abstract

This work presents a sustainable smart test strip for rapid, multi-analyte body-fluid analysis, combining printed electronics with a custom ultra-low-power ASIC. The disposable platform integrates three biochemical sensors, a printed temperature sensor, wireless NFC communication, and battery-free energy storage using scalable manufacturing processes. The demonstrator enables fast quantitative sensing and wireless readout, illustrating CSEM’s capability to deliver compact, low-impact diagnostic technologies designed for real-world deployment.
