Lightsafe: An interactive Security Technology for Banknotes and ID Documents

Abstract

We present a novel class of interactive security features . Based on light guiding in thin foils, the features are verified by illuminating them with a white light source, such as the LED of a smartphone, and viewing different areas or symbols lighting up.
