Abstract
Microfabrication technologies require continuous and substantial investments in new equipment to maintain the level of innovation aligned with market needs. To maintain its leadership, CSEM aims to ensure that all its microfabrication processes are fully compatible with the 200 mm wafer format by 2028. This wafer format has become the industry standard across most sectors, and adopting it is essential to ensure the long-term relevance of our technological platform. Failing to meet this standard would significantly weaken the competitiveness of our microtechnology activities and limit our ability to attract new industrial collaborations. Transitioning to 200 mm compatibility is therefore a strategic necessity to sustain CSEM’s position in the global microfabrication landscape.
