3-Terminal Perovskite/Silicon Tandem Modules: A Dead End or a Bright Future of Tandem Based Photovoltaics

Abstract

We demonstrate an experimental 12-cell silicon-perovskite 3-terminal tandem string with an individual cell size of 24.5 cm2 in a 2/1s voltage matched configuration. Based on the experimentally measured data we calibrate a string level SPCIE model, which we use to compare 3-terminal tandem strings to their 2-terminal equivalent.
