| dc.description.abstract | Free-form microlens arrays (MLAs) can enhance the brightness of OLED micro-displays and control the angle of light emission. To demonstrate this, several designs, methods for mastering, replication materials and integration concepts have been tested. Finally, a configuration was found that results in a gain in brightness and efficiency of 30% to 40%. | |
